Out Of Office
Out Of Office at SILO on Thursday 10pm, free entry, Miss Pips and Hovy holding the night. The Williamsburg space has been one of the steadier Brooklyn rooms for house programming over the last year and the OOO format pulls from the Data Transmission Radio show Pips runs the first Friday of every month. Free entry for the whole night, drinks reasonable. The room caps around midnight so show up before 11. Worth the trip even if you have not heard the show.

ROMANCE w Andi + Eli Escobar
Eli Escobar and Andi at Gabriela in Brooklyn on Thursday 9pm, Romance, free every Thursday. Escobar has been the New York party DJ longest of anyone still working a weekly residency and the Romance format is the looser, more emotional side of his selection. Big emotions, sad bangers, pop without irony. Gabriela has been one of the better small Brooklyn rooms the last year. Thursday early start. Crying encouraged, per the host. Drinks reasonable. Show up by 10 if you want a seat.

RHYTHM EXCHANGE
Rhythm Exchange happy hour at Mood Ring on Saturday 7pm to 10pm, free entry, three DJs working open format across techno, house, breakbeat, and garage. The Bushwick room has been one of the better neighbourhood bars for booking DJs who work outside one register, which is the whole pitch of the Exchange series. Helix and AJACENT hold the night. The early start makes it a viable warm-up to whatever Brooklyn weekend you have planned. Drinks are reasonable. The Saturday daylight slot pulls a friendlier crowd.

Reggaeton Mansion (21+)
Reggaeton Mansion on the Delancey rooftop, Sunday 9pm, free with RSVP. The yearly takeover runs reggaeton plus bachata, salsa, cumbia, and Latin pop across a holiday weekend slot that pulls a sharper crowd than the regular bookings. 21+. The free RSVP does not guarantee entry so plan to arrive by 9:30 if you actually want in. The Delancey roof is one of the better Lower East Side warm-weather venues going. Bring cash for the bar. Memorial weekend pacing, expect a long Monday.
